We started in a garage in Bed-Stuy with a 16mm Bolex and a mistrust of clean footage. Today we operate as a full-service production house between Brooklyn and Los Angeles.
Parks & Rec was never supposed to be a company. It began as a collective of cinematographers, editors, and location scouts who shared gear, hard drives, and an allergy to generic brand films.
We kept the name because it confused people. The work speaks louder.
Production is an industrial act. The camera is a utility. The edit is a collision. We favor the raw over the refined, the loud over the polite. Our output is measured in impact, not impressions.
We build scenes, not coverage. Every frame is considered. Every cut is intentional. We work with directors, brands, and musicians who understand that restraint is louder than noise — and noise is sometimes exactly what's needed.
Director and cinematographer with a background in documentary and street photography. Nate leads creative direction and camera department on all narrative and campaign work.
Producer and post supervisor. Elena manages production logistics, client relationships, and the edit suite. She has zero tolerance for timelines that don't respect reality.
16mm and 35mm specialist. Marcus handles the film scans, color science, and the occasional impossible night exterior. He owns more lenses than furniture.
Location scout and street casting lead. Sasha knows every block of downtown Brooklyn and has a contact list of faces that never appear in stock photo libraries.
